General Guidelines  
For full articles, the manuscript, written in English, should not exceed 30 pages in length and for mini-reviews a maximum of 40 pages in length. The manuscript should be typed in single spacing throughout on A-4 or American quarto paper. Soft copies of the manuscript must accompany the original and should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief at his address. All pages should be numbered. Abbreviations should be defined the first time they are used in the manuscript and a list of abbreviations used should also be provided.        

Manuscript Organization: The manuscript should be divided as: *Title, *Affiliation, *Corresponding Author Email, *Abstract, *Keywords, *Main text, *References . The text may be subdivided further according to the areas to be discussed. This should be followed by the Acknowledgement (if any) and Reference sections. The first page should contain the title, the authors names (initials and surname only), with an asterisk in front of the name of the principal author.             

Conflict of Interest: Financial contributions to the work being reported should be clearly acknowledged, as should any potential conflict of interest.

Abstract: The abstract should not exceed 250 words and it should condense the essential features of the article, with the focus on the background, methodology, results, conclusions and major advances in the field.
Key Words: Authors must supply up to eight key words along with their manuscript.
Text: The main text should begin on a separate page and it may be subdivided into separate sections. The article should mention any previous important in the field and contain a comprehensive discussion starting with the general background of the field. It should then go on to discuss the salient features of recent developments. The authors should avoid presenting material which has already been published in previous reviews. The reference numbers should be given in square brackets in the text. Acknowledgements should be kept to a minimum.

Tables:
a.    Data Tables should be submitted in Microsoft Excel or in Microsoft Word table format.
b.    Each table should include a title/caption explaining what the table shows. Detailed legends may then follow.
c.    Tables should be given on separate pages with indications on the left hand margin to the text, as to the appropriate placement of the tables.
d.    Tables should not contain vertical rules.
e.    Columns and rows of data should be made visibly distinct by ensuring the borders of each cell display as black lines.
f.    Tables should be numbered consecutively in order of their citation in the body of the text, with Arabic numerals.
g.    If a reference is cited in both the table and text, insert a lettered footnote in the table to refer to the numbered reference in the text.
h.    Tabular data provided as additional files can be submitted as an Excel spreadsheet.

Diagrams / Figures / Illustrations: 
All authors must strictly follow the guidelines below for preparing illustrations for publication in Journal

Editorial Requirements:  
The quality of the illustrations printed in the journal largely depends on the quality of the Diagrams / figures/illustration provided by the author. In preparing artwork or graphics for publication, keep in mind the following points.
a.    Submit the original artwork or a photographic print of the original for publication.

c.    Illustrations should be provided as separate page, after the text content in same doc files, not embedded in the text.
d.    Remove all color from graphics except for those illustrations (Greyscale), which are intended to be printed in color.

f.    Figures should be referred to as 'Fig. 1-', 'Fig. 2-' etc. in the text with figure numbers in bold within round bracket.

Technical Details: 
Figures should be provided on high quality, white, smooth opaque paper.

Resolution and Format:
a.    The following file formats can be accepted (Preference in order of appearance): TIFF, JPEG, GIF, PDF.
b.    Whenever possible, submit graphics that do not have to be reduced to fit the standard figure size or alternatively, submit the figures in their original program in which they have been drawn.
c.    Use the best resolution available. For online submission the maximum resolution is 300 dpi.
d.    Avoid textures and shadings giving a three-dimensional effect to the illustration.
e.    Symbols and lettering in the illustration should be of similar size.
f.    Smaller lettering is used.
g.    Font: ARIAL NARROW is preferable. Font size: 10pt (maximum).
h.    Line drawings should have clear and sharp lines and should be of uniform density. Moreover, lines should be continuous without any breaks.
i.    Do not use lines thinner than 1 point.
j.    Illustrations must fit a single or double column format on the journal page, according to the following guideline below:

Illustrations and Color Figures: 
The cost for the published page of color figures will charge according to publishers [ if author need color prints of their article].
Color figures should be supplied in CMYK not RGB colors.
Required resolution for online submission is 300 dpi. Please use the maximum resolution available. In case the figure(s) are of an inferior quality they will need to be improved either by the author or by the publisher on a charged basis.

Photographs:
Submit high-contrast prints that are of single- or double-column width so that they will not have to be reduced when printed. Negatives are not acceptable.
Chemical Structures: Chemical structures must be prepared according to the guidelines below.
Structures should be prepared using a suitable drawing program e.g. ChemDraw, Chem-Sketch and provided as separate file, submitted both on disk and in printed formats. Numbers in bold should identify all chemical structure. If a name is also used to describe the compound, the associated number in bold should be in parenthesis, e.g. “compound (1)”.

References: All references must be numbered in the text in square brackets, e.g. [6], or [8, 11-16], in order of citation in the text. Titles of journals are abbreviated according to Chemical Abstract Service Source Index, example:   Title of article / paper is not necessary in all references and journal name should be Italic

Abstracts, unpublished data and personal communications (which can only be included if the permission has been obtained) should not be given in the reference section but they may be mentioned in the text with details provided as footnotes. All authors of referenced papers must be cited and there must be no use of the short hand version of et al. when citing the authors.

Submission Declaration to Bioinfo Publications
Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere and its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out.
 
Contributors: The statement that all authors have approved the final article is true, included in the disclosure and approved the manuscript for final publication .
 
Article Processing Charges
In an open access model, the publication costs of an article are paid from an author's research budget, or by their supporting organization / institution, in the form of Article Processing Charges. Communicated articles / papers must be submitted with the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or thesis) and are not currently under consideration by another journal published by Bioinfo publications journals or any other publisher. The submitting (Corresponding) author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been approved by all the other coauthors. It is also the authors responsibility to ensure that the articles emanating from a particular institution are submitted with the approval of the necessary institution. Only an acknowledgment from the editorial office officially establishes the date of receipt. Further correspondence and galley proofs will be sent to the corresponding author(s) before publication unless otherwise indicated. Regarding Authorship        
Scientific writing is an explicit way of assigning responsibility and giving credit for intellectual work. Scientific writing practices should be judged by how honestly they reflect actual contributions to the final product. Scientific writing is important to the reputation, academic promotion, and grant support of the individuals involved as well as to the strength and reputation of their institution.    

Bioinfo publications journals do not require all authors of a research paper to sign the letter of submission, nor do impose an order on the list of authors. Submission to Bioinfo publications is taken by the journal to mean that all the listed authors have agreed all of the contents. The corresponding (submitting) author is responsible for having ensured that this agreement has been attained and for managing all communication between the journal and all co-authors, before and after publication of manuscripts. Any change to the authors list after submission, such as a change in the order of the authors or the deletion or addition of authors needs to be approved by a signed letter from every author.

Coauthor contributions note          
Manuscript authors are strongly encouraged to include a statement in the end notes to specify the actual contribution of each coauthor to the completed work. International Bioinfo publications journals allow to coauthors to be specified as having contributed equally to the work being described. Author contribution statement should be clear if the work are not equally done.

About Peer-Review process
Bioinfo publications journals aims at rapid publication of high quality research while maintaining rigorous but sympathetic peer review process. Manuscripts (other than those that are of insufficient quality or unlikely to be competitive enough for publication) will be peer-reviewed by two or more experts in the fields, and a decision is returned to the authors in about one week. If due to special circumstance, the review process takes more time, authors will be informed by email. Manuscripts with significant results will be reviewed and published at the highest priority and speed. Possible decisions on a manuscript are:

• accepted as it is
• accepted after minor revision
• accepted after major revision
• rejected

If minor revision is required, authors should return a revised version as soon as possible within one week. If major revision is required, authors should return a revised version within two to three weeks.

About duplicate publications         
Material submitted to Bioinfo publications journals must be original and not published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Authors submitting a contribution to Bioinfo publications journals who have related material under consideration or in press elsewhere should upload a clearly marked copy at the time of submission and draw the editor attention to it in their cover letter. If a part of a contribution that an author wishes to submit to Bioinfo publications journals has appeared or will appear elsewhere, the author must specify the details in the cover letter. Consideration by the Bioinfo publications journals is possible if the main result, conclusion, or implications are not apparent from the other work, or if there are other factors, for example if the other work is published in a language other than English.    

Author is responsible to get permission from previous publisher or copyright holder if an author is re-using any part of paper (i.e., figure or figures) published elsewhere, or that is copyrighted.
The editors consider all material in good faith that their journals have full permission to publish every part of the submitted material including illustrations.

Plagiarism in manuscript    
Plagiarism in manuscript is the use or close imitation of the language and ideas of another author and representation of them as ones own original published work. Duplicate publication, sometimes called self-plagiarism, occurs when an author reuses substantial parts of his or her own published work without providing the appropriate references. This can range from getting an identical paper published in multiple journals, where authors add small amounts of new data to a previous paper.
Plagiarism in manuscript can be said to have clearly occurred when large chunks of text have been cut and pasted. Such manuscripts would not be considered for publication in Bioinfo publications journals. But minor plagiarism without dishonest intent is relatively frequent, for example when an author reuses parts of an introduction from an earlier paper. The editors will judge any case of which they become aware (either by their own knowledge of and reading about the literature, or when alerted by referees) on its own merits.
If a case of plagiarism comes to light after a paper is published in Bioinfo publications journals, the journal will conduct a preliminary investigation. If plagiarism is found, the journal will contact the author institute and funding agencies. A determination of misconduct will lead the Bioinfo publications journals to run a statement, bidirectionally linked online to and from the original paper, to note the plagiarism and to provide a reference to the plagiarized material. The paper containing the plagiarism will also be obviously marked on each page of the PDF. Depending on the extent of the plagiarism, the paper may also be formally retracted.
